Oh the weather outside is frightful but these winter spice lattes are sooo delightful! Too cheesy? Haha that’s allowed this time of year isn’t it? I finally gave my new Vitamix Ascent 3500 for a spin (get it? haha…ok I’ll stop) and made these delicious vanilla winter spice lattes. I still can’t get over the fact that the it has a setting that spins the blade so fast it actually heats up the lattes so you can serve straight from the blender. Is that not crazy?! I think I’m going to try a soup next, I just thought that was the coolest feature. I didn’t realize just how great the Vitamix was until I learned how to use it with The Feed Feed. It can do so many cool things like make dips, hot soups and drinks, smoothies, spice blends, makes ice cream…it even auto adjusts to the container size you select. Oh, and by the way…when you’re all done the blender cleans itself with the quick push of a button! I think that may be the best part!
Ok, I got excited there…on to the vanilla winter spice latte recipe. This is so easy to make and the Vitamix creates the perfect frothy topping to finish it off. Let me know if you try it out or if you have any other recipes I need to try! I think we’ll be using this a lot in the next few weeks, I want to try it all!
Vanilla Winter Spice Latte
Ingredients
2 cups of whole milk – hot
1/2 cup of strong coffee
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp of sugar
1 tsp of Vitamix Winter Spice Mix (Instructions HERE)
Instructions
Place ingredients in order in the Vitamix and blend on the third setting (looks like heated soup). I blend on high until the mixture starts to froth and theres about an inch or two of foam. Use a large spoon to block the foam as you pour latte into mugs. Top with foam and sprinkle with some winter spice mix on top. Enjoy!
Let me know what you think of this recipe and if you’d like to see more Vitamix creations on the blog. I’d love to show you all of the fun ways you can use this machine.
