Girls Weekend Getaway To Houston

A girls weekend with these beauties has been a long time coming. It’s been a year and a half of talking every day online that I was finally able to give these girls a big squeeze in person. I met Elly, Meg, Brittany and Katie through blogging about a year and a half ago and we’ve been the best of friends ever since. You know when you just meet people that you instantly click with? These are my people! We’ve shared many laughs and a few tears together so I was excited to finally get to see them in person.

Meg, Elly and Brittany are all from Houston so we decided to plan our weekend getaway there. It was my first time travelling to Texas and it did not disappoint! Meg took Katie and I on a tour of Houston on Friday. They have some of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever seen, the architecture is beautiful. We then went for lunch with Veronika (she’s a lovely Canadian blogger who now lives in Houston), checked out the Spinkles cupcake ATM, a cool hipster coffee shop and finished off the day with a delicious dinner at Radio Milano in Hotel Sorella (Seriously, the food was amazing – highly recommend).

Hotel Sorella was kind enough to host us for our girls weekend. It’s located in the City Centre which is surrounded by lots of great restaurants and shopping. On Saturday night we stayed in the Penthouse and we thought it would be fun to do a shoot together in our Pink Blush robes to highlight our girls weekend. They turned out so cute! We had our hair done by Blow Dry Bar Houston in preparation for Brittanys Blog anniversary party that evening. We got all dolled up and headed to Kendra Scott to celebrate three years of blogging with Brittany. We had so much fun and met lots of other Houston based bloggers. After the party we spent the evening catching up in our room, laughing and masking (we are bloggers after all LOL).

Sunday was Katies last day so we decided to go out for brunch to Sweet Paris, a crepes place, before taking her to the airport. I have to say, I’m not usually a pancake or crepe fan but – omg! I had the chicken enchilada crepes and they were to die for! We had a great time together at brunch before saying our goodbyes. We’ve already planned our next trip – NAPA in the fall! I’m so thankful to have met these girls and forged such strong friendships with each of them. Love these chicks!

A special thank you to Hotel Sorella for our fabulous stay, we had such a great time at the hotel. It was the perfect location for our girls weekend!
