Port Dover Day Trip

PortDover

(Colourful umbrella-lined beach)

This past Saturday my mom and I made a trip out to Port Dover, a cute little beach town on the North Shore of Lake Erie. I was looking forward to a day of mother/daughter time and of course, some much needed relaxation. Driving along old country roads lined with trees and passing through quaint towns made for some beautiful views on the ride there. Thankfully, the thunderstorms held off until the evening allowing us to explore all day in the sun.

We enjoyed spending the day walking along the beach, browsing through shops and stopping for lunch at 211 Main Street Bistro. The food was amazing…crab cakes over a chipotle dressing that were topped with an avocado salsa as well as a chicken, baked brie and apple pizza…mind blown. We had a wonderful trip filled with great conversation and lots of laughs, it was well worth the drive.

Hope you had a great weekend!

This looks both fun and relaxing! I’m hoping to get a day trip in with my family, before the summer is over.

It was fun, you’d enjoy paddle boarding there. So many palm trees along the beach. It only took 90 minutes for us to get there so not too bad.
